Artist Statement

Angie’s paintings are reflections of herself, her surroundings and the act of painting. Her serene and quiet landscapes are inspired by scenes which are frequently observed as well as some that are visited only once. She strives to not only capture the essence of the place but to also infuse the elements of herself into the paintings. Angie is also intrigued by the shapes, colors, textures and lines that are found within these landscapes. Arranging these elements allows her to explore unique ways of perceiving space, depth and the subtleties of color.
